Neill & Sons, Lmt./ Fredericton N.B.” Circa 1932-1939. Original bright aluminum finish. In later Hardy Blue & Ivory Zip Case. 14-0066 ajrz. –The “Bougle” was designed by Louis Bougle, Vice-President of the Casting Club of France, in 1903. It was a very light reel for its capacity because of the raised pillars & wider drum; it was a fragile reel that survived in very small numbers. This is a very serviceable and tight reel which can fish very well. A very handsome reel in its original bright aluminum finish. It had a crack in the rear frame near the line guard which was repaired by Bill Archuleta of Grants Pass OR. It also has line grooves next to the guard & on another pillar. The foot has been trimmed on one end. It is a very nice example of a scarce reel. With noted defects, Very Good.
