The 4 1/4 oz. model for #6 was very popular, with 26 made. Gary liked to fish an 8 1/2 foot #6 line rod on the spring creeks and on larger rivers when I fished with him in Montana. He considered it his most versatile rod model. He chided me for using my 7’3” Howells for #3 line on big fish. Later, he went to an 8’3” for #6 line as an all-around rod. I took this rod out with a Sylk DT6F. It fulfills all the expectations of an all-around rod. I would feel comfortable on a spring creek or on a brawling Western river. What a delight! All sections straight & full-length. Grip has been cleaned. Near New/ Very Fine. $2750
